Osterman Propane – Plainfield

I’ve been with Osterman for years… Probably 15 or more. During COVID, my husband and I did what we do best: cook and bake for tons of people. We were using close to twice the amount of propane than usual. After a couple of times running out, they very kindly put an “alert” on our tank, so that whenever we need it, the propane fairy comes and magically fills it! Which is wonderful!!! That being said, they don’t knock on our door, so we aren’t able to tip them for the delivery. That’s tough on us. We both come from people’s services (both are chefs, I ran soup kitchens for 18 years, and I’m a barber). We are both disabled, but only my husband has disability insurance, so we don’t have a great deal of money. We are both adamant that we tip for services!!!! And, these guys deserve it!!! A few years ago, one deliverer saved a nest of wrens, who had made nest in the top of the tank. Rather than moving the nest, he asked me what to do. Needless to say, we used our grill till they fledged! What a kind person he is. Also, every time I contact anyone in the office, they are delightful and helpful. I inadvertently read some complaints about these guys, and frankly, was disgusted. If you read them, they are all completely entitled, rude, expectant people, who apparently are contacting the other dimension, because in no way has Osterman been anything less than professional and sweet. Thank you, Osterman! The wrens are still producing (we built a nest for them, which they still use every year), and they are delightful to watch every morning. You are all lovely people.❤
